There are swimming and therapy pools and spas in both the north and south areas of our community.


In addition to a large tennis facility, SVE has shuffleboard, billiard rooms and pickleboard courts, to name just a few.

Wood Carvers – Meet in the Arts & Crafts Room from 12:30 to 3-4 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Bocce We always encourage new players to join us on the Bocce court.  We have instructors who love to teach this fun and easy game.  Courts are available to all residents and their guests.  Bocce balls are stored in the closet just north of the courts.  Lights can be turned on for night play.  Open play is now on Monday through Thursday at 6:30 p.m.  For more information contact Lois Wierenga at 708-341-4616.

Cornhole (Beanbag Toss) group will meet on Tuesdays at 2 PM behind the auditorium.  All are welcome.

SVE Softball Club – Softball club has pickup games every Tuesday & Thursday. Batting practice will start at 8:30 AM with the game following at 9:30 AM. Both men and women are invited. Tennis Club –Give tennis a try! It is a fun game for all residents. Beginners are welcome on Tuesdays at 11:30 AM where we will have the best tennis coaches available to help you learn. BingoBingo plays every Sunday except Easter in the auditorium. Doors open at 3:30 PM. Snack bar opens at 4:30 PM. Veterans Club –The Veterans Club meet the 3rd Wednesday of each month.  Auditorium doors will open at 4:15 PM, potluck dinner starts at 5 PM.  Bring a dish that serves 12-15 people.  The business meeting will start immediately after dinner.
