Bingo Bingo plays most every Sunday except Easter in the auditorium. Doors open at 3:30 PM. Snack bar opens at 4:30 PM. Bingo starts at 6 PM.  No person under the age of 18 may purchase packets, play games or claim prizes.  Prize money will vary during the year based on attendance.  Sunland Village East Bingo is played in accordance with the Arizona State Revenue rules and regulations, which are available on the premises along with the prominent display of the SVE Bingo license.  The SVE Bingo Committee thanks you for playing "Bingo" with us!  For more information contact Lydia or Ken Sobiech, 480-986-9822.  Come enjoy friends, fun, food and games.

Computer Club – Visit our Club’s newsletter by clicking HERE for complete schedule.   Fall/winter meetings are in the Mesa Verde Room at 9 AM every Monday for “Questions and Answers with Joe”, followed at 10:15 AM with a special class or presentation.  Please check out our website at SVECC.com to confirm dates and view all of our scheduled presentations.

Computer Club Fix-It Tuesdays is available in the Computer Training Center (North Complex) on most Tuesdays, 1 - 3 PM, and is open to all SVE residents.  There is a small fee for repairs.  For a laptop, be sure to bring your power cord.  Bring just the tower if your computer is a desktop model.  Updates, cleanup, simple repairs, ram added (you furnish the ram).  For more information contact Joe Zagar, 602-885-9666.

Martial Arts Arms Collectors Group - Next meeting will be on Thursday, November 15th.   Meetings are on the third Thursday of the month at 4 PM and held at 7820 E. Nopal Ave. Bring your collectable arms, books, medals and other memorabilia from the Civil War through WWII and give us a history lesson.  NO LOADED GUNS. Pancake Breakfast – Pancake breakfast is held the first Saturday of the month, October through April, 7 – 9:30 AM.  Volunteers are always needed and welcome.  Please contact Ed Malone for more information on how you can become a volunteer, 480-984-8092.

Strummin' Fun Ukulele - Held on the 4th Monday of each month (Oct. thru May) at 1pm to 3pm in the Saguaro Room.  Each session we will play songs from Liz & Jim Beloff's The Daily Ukulele YELLOW book and will be led by Debbie & Jim Phillips. Veterans Club – The Veterans club meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month.  Our next meeting is November 21, 2018.  The Auditorium doors open at 4:30 PM, a potluck dinner starts at 5:00 PM.  Please bring a dish that serves 10-12 people.  The business meeting starts immediately after dinner. At the end of our meeting we have a speaker or entertainment. Village SingersHoliday Concert scheduled for Thursday, December 20th, 7 PM in the SVE Auditorium.  Our first rehearsal for the season is November 6th.  Normally we rehearse in the Mesa Verde room, but because of National Elections, our November 6th meeting will be in the Oakwood room from 1-3 PM.   If you like to sing, please come join us.  Our first concert is December 20th.  For further information, call Peggy Dronen, 612-616-0281.

Fitness - Gentle Stretch Saturdays, Oakwood Room from 7:30-8:30 AM, $3.00 pp.   Start your day with a gentle stretch and improve full body flexibility.  Certified instructor can assist all capability levels; improve your full-body flexibility for optimal mobility, strength, and balance. Fitness – Gentle Yoga –Tuesdays and Thursdays, Oakwood Room from 9 to10:30 AM.  $5.00 pp. per class or 6 classes for $25.00.  Instructor, Pat Murphy (patmurphycarrasco@yahoo.com).  Bring a mat, water, comfortable shoes and an open mind to feel good.

Wood Carvers – Meet in the Arts & Crafts Room from 12:30 to 3-4 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays. SPORTS & OUTSIDE ACTIVITIES

Bocce Come one, come all to learn or practice Bocce Ball!  Scheduled play, with instructors available, is Monday thru Thursday at 6:30 PM. If you would like to play on your own, game rules are posted at the courts. Bocce equipment is stored in the closet just north of the courts. The courts are open until 9:00 pm. Please return equipment to the closet and turn off the court lights when leaving. Any questions, call Lois Wierenga at 708-341-4616

Bocce Club Social – Meet the second Saturday of every month in the Mesa Verde Room.  Doors open at 6 PM.  Various card games and board games are played starting at 6:30 PM.  Bring a snack to share.  For more information contact club president, Lois Wierenga, 708-341-4616 

Cornhole (Beanbag Toss) group   Currently on recess until the fall.

Mixed Bowling League  Substitute bowlers are needed.  If you are interested in bowling next season, contact Coreen Renner at 480-830-7572.

Horseshoes - Guys and Gals of all ages are welcome to join us.  Practice begins at

Pickleball  Regular meetings are held monthly on the 2nd Sunday of the month at 4 PM in the Mesa Verde Room.   A schedule will be posted on the bulletin board at the pickleball courts in early November for club member play and open play for residents. Beginner's lessons will start the week of November 12th.  You do not have to be a member to take the beginner's lessons.  Pickleball is easy to learn and easy to play.  And it's fun.  Come join us.  For more information, please call Christy Vanderhill at 616-403-5947

SVE Softball Club – We have begun our fall league play. We are playing on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Come on down & get involved in our Ball program  or just come down and watch a bunch of guys having some fun. We are in need of people to run our scoreboard remote for some of our ball games. It will be time to think about signing up for the winter, Jan.-Feb. league play soon.  We will have men and women’s softball leagues going on in the winter. Volleyball – Water, North Pool – Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays (June – September – 7 to 9 PM, October – May - 2 – 4 PM) weather and number of players permitting.
