Sunland Village East has over 85 clubs, groups, and activities. And if that isn't enough, you can start your own! People here say, "I can't believe I ever had time for work!" How grand it is to be busy doing just what you want to do.

Sunland Village East provides a lifestyle where residents can try new things, connect with others and just have fun.
The following is a list of groups and clubs available to SVE residents. Recently, the HOA BOD opened up all SVE amenities. All clubs and groups were asked to determine how and when they wanted to fully reopen and then provide the Association Office with a reopening plan. A coordinator for each club or group highlighted in blue (above) has provided the HOA office with their reopening plans, Covid protocols and have been approved to reopen. Fitness Center - The North and South Fitness Centers are open Monday-Sunday, 4:30 AM -11 PM.

Fitness Gentle Stretch – Meets every Saturday at 7:30 AM - 8:30 AM in the Oakwood room. $4.00 pp. Start your day with a gentle stretch and improve full body flexibility. Co-ed Fitness with Maggie - Currently not meeting. Balance (Fitness) class every Wednesday, 8:30 AM to 9:15 AM Classes in Chair Yoga, Gentle Yoga, Senior Fitness and Dance Fitness (formerly Zumba) are scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Each class is $3. or bundle 2 classes in one day for $5. Tuesdays: Zumba – 9 AM to 9:45 AM; Gentle Yoga – 9:45 AM to 10:30 AM Thursdays: Senior Fitness – 9 AM to 9:45 AM; Chair Yoga – 9:45 AM to 10:30 AM (See monthly schedule in the HOA Office).

Low Impact Aerobics - Classes will resume Fall 2021. During the regular season (Nov - Mar) class meets Monday, Wednesday & Friday, 7:30 AM in the Oakwood room. $4.00 per class. Water Aerobics - Monday through Friday, we have three (3) classes. The south pool offers a 7:45 AM medium impact water aerobics and 9 AM low impact water aerobics. BILLIARDS
- Hours are Monday - Sunday, 7 AM - 9 PM.

Bowling Mixed League – The Bowling Mixed League is from November to March (2021-2022). An organizational meeting will be held the last Monday in October. For more information contact Coreen Renner, 480-688-4025.

Pickleball - Summer hours are 6 AM - 9 PM. A FOB is required to enter the new courts and security unlocks the Sport courts at 6 AM. Masks are no longer required but we strongly encourage social distancing and that you wash hands often or use hand sanitizer. Lessons and clinics are over until November. Summer schedule is now in place so all residents are welcome to play as well as bringing guests, who must always be accompanied by a resident. Name tags are not required during the summer. Ping Pong – Available Friday mornings from 10 AM -12 noon in the Oakwood room. Bring your own paddle or the Association has a limited number of ping pong paddles in the office. Wash and sanitize hands often. For reservations contact the Association office at 480-380-0106.

Bingo Bingo is now playing every Sunday except Easter and Christmas in the SVE Auditorium. Doors open at 3:30 PM, snack bar opens at 4:30 PM, and Bingo starts at 6 PM. No person under the age of 18 may purchase packets, play games or claim prizes. Prize money will vary during the year based on attendance. Sunland Village East Bingo is played in accordance with the Arizona State Revenue rules and regulations, which are available on the premises along with the prominent display of the SVE Bingo license. Village Chapel - Chapel services are held in the Auditorium, services start at 9:00 AM. Masks are optional. There will be congregational singing. However, at this time there will be no fellowship after the service. The Village Chapel is a non-denominational ministry that exists to serve SVE residents and non-residents in the surrounding community. For almost 30 years the chapel has been providing weekly worship services, seasonal Bible Studies and daily prayer and support for the ill and those grieving the loss of loved ones. The Data Hub is located in the North Complex with the entrance off the parking lot next to Billiards. The Data Hub has Windows operating system computers available for use by residents only. Woodshop – The Woodshop meets the first Tuesday of the month, in the Saguaro room 10:30 am to 12:00 noon (Oct - Apr). There are no meetings held in the summer. The Woodshop summer hours are April - 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM Monday - Friday; May - September - 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Monday, Wednesday, Friday; October - 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM; Winter hours (November - March) are 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM; 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM. Due to Covid-19 the protocol being utilized is the standard 6’ social distancing, wearing of a face mask, hand sanitizing, mandatory sign-in and no more than 10 members present in the woodshop at a time. (That will be two monitors and 8 members). Non-resident/member guests are allowed but cannot use any of the equipment.
